This is a tad belated but HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the mothers out there!
On Sunday, we went to Genghis Grill, a mongolian stir fry restaurant, for the first time. We went to celebrate not only Mothers Day but to welcome Jeff (bro in law) home from college for the summer! So once we get there, the server explains how it works , that we get a bowl to put ingredients in and then they will cook it then bring your food to your table... and Jon and I decide that we are going to share because we both weren't super hungry... But when she told us that we could have what ever we could fit in our little silver bowl, we were both like, "challenge accepted!" We got some advice from Jeff to build walls out of waterchesnuts, and we did! We found that bamboo shoots and carrots made the best walls around the edge of the bowl, so we could maximize space building upward with our choices of proteins and veggies... I'll admit it was pretty fun trying to fit all the things we wanted into our tiny little bowl. By the end of it, we had built a pretty impressive mountain of stir fry goodness. And of course, since we both weren't super hungry.... We didn't even finish all of it! But we had a good time and it was very delicious!
